How money and editorial stay apart

Paid placement never affects review
A submission is approved or declined on what the tool is. Featured and sponsor slots are only available to listings that have already been published, and buying one cannot change an editorial decision.
Sponsorship is one slot per category
A category has a single sponsor at a time or none at all. There is no auction and no rotation — if the slot is taken, it is taken.
Affiliate links are disclosed
Some outbound links earn a commission. Where that is true it is marked on the listing, and it has no bearing on whether a tool is listed or how it ranks.
